Remember what I said about giving away both of my face primers because of my dry skin?
Well, someone on my Twitter was gracious enough to share a recommendation.
@eBunite or try getting a hydrating primer…Nivea Men post shave balm or whatever is a very good Hydrating Primer. It's like 1500 or so

At this point, I was willing to try anything other than my previous primers so I got myself one.
When I got to the store, the first thing I checked was the ingredient list. I needed to be sure it was safe enough for my skin.
It is enriched with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera:
- – Immediately soothes skin discomfort after shaving
- – Actively holds moisture in the skin against drying out
- – Recovers and comforts the skin.
Aqua, Alcohol Denat, Glycerin, Distarch Phosphate, Ethylhexyl Cocoate, Parfum, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Panthenol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dimethicone, Triceteareth-4, Phosphate, Sodium Carbomer, Limonene, Linalool.
How I use
I use this to moisturize/prime my face after toning before applying foundation.
It gives me this dewy look, especially when paired with my MaryKay Timewise Foundation. All I need now is a perfect full coverage foundation. It does a decent job of keeping my makeup intact for a few hours. Then again, it depends on the weather. It stays longer in a cold/rainy weather.
Additionally, I love that it doesn’t sit on my skin. It also doesn’t have a greasy finish which makes it perfect as a hydrating primer. Also, a little goes a long way.
The Glycerine/Aloe Vera combination makes it a perfect moisturizer. For my no-makeup look, I use a little with my foundation and I’m good to go. It gives me the right amount of glow and coverage.
I’m still on my first bottle but I’ll repurchase until the next best thing comes along.
Dry skinned ladies, you need to get this. Thank me later!
