Product Review: African Naturalistas Liquid Black Soap

As you probably know, I have a penchant for black soap of any form. So, when African Naturalistas launched their new range of products, I knew it was time for me to try their black soap.

Product Description

African Naturalistas Liquid Black Soap – 500ml

African Naturalistas Liquid black soap is original black soap, liquefied to make washing and rinsing easier. Because it is manufactured with abundant in emollients and moisture, our liquid black soap is suitable for washing both hair and skin.

For body wash, pour a little liquid black soap on a section of the body, wash with a sponge, and rinse thoroughly. For hair wash, apply onto wet hair to create a rich lather. Wash gently, concentrating especially on the scalp. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat process if necessary.

Aqueous (Water, Aqua Purificada, Purified), Cocoa Pod Ash, Plantain Peel ash, Palm Bunch ash, Elaeis guineensis (Palm) kernel Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Honey, Camwood, Lime, Citric Acid, Fragrance.

Let me confess. I finished the entire bottle on my skin. I barely even used it on my hair. This is possibly the mildest black soap I’ve ever used it. I’m sure it’s even safe for babies. It also lathers well. Not so much but just right so you don’t have to spend so much time rinsing out. Another thing is, it settles at the bottom so you have to shake well before use. Other than that, it’s all good. There’s really nothing to fault. The only problem I have with it as well as every other one in this range is the bottle. It’s  large and not very handy.

Yes, I will use it over and over. Plus its purely natural so.
