A great outfit is an essential part of your fitness journey. I can’t count the number of times I’ve tried to join a fitness community only to discover that I don’t have the right outfits. That remarkably dampens my high spirits. You might think that it’s as easy as picking a few unused clothes in your closet but it really isn’t so.
The perfect workout gear creates support for you as you exercise. I mean there’s no point wearing a long pair of pants or top if you’re going to sweat all through your workout . It only makes sense to get comfortable clothes that won’t distract you in any way.
Now, if you have previously been having challenges choosing the right workout gear, here are some tips that should help.
1. They need to fit right.
I’m all for slouchy outfits but there’s no way you can work out properly in them. So, when choosing your workout outfit, make sure they are your exact size.
2. They need to be comfortable.
Again, just because they need to fit doesn’t mean they should be tight and uncomfortable. Don’t compromise on comfort for any reason because it will catch up with you on the long run. It is advised not to buy a size bigger unless they’re the better option and are more comfortable.
3. They need to suit the kind of exercise you’re doing.
They’re different kinds of exercise that require different outfits. For instance, if you’re going to be doing a lot of leg usage, it is better to get shorts or capri pants. On the other hand, if you’re doing a lot of yoga or weight – lifting exercise, a pair of gym or yoga pants will work. Just make sure you know what you’re doing before making a purchase.
4. Sleeveless tops rules.
The type of top you wear during exercise is also determined your workout regimen, try as much as possible to go sleeveless. This is safer, comfortable and easy to work with. Also, they don’t trap sweat and get stuck in machines. But if you are very weather sensitive, it’s not a bad idea to wear a track suit.
5. Try to invest in a good sports bra.
You do not want your breasts jiggling all over the place. A good sports bra helps put them in place while you undergo even the most strenuous exercise. It also keeps back ache at bay because your chest is supported firmly and held into place.
6. Your footwear matters too.
I recently browsed through one of those online stores for a pair of running shoes but I was a bit taken aback by the prices so I resorted to visiting the market. The right shoes can make all the difference in your workout especially if you are a runner. You need the right amount of support that will reduce back pressure and give you more stability so do not compromise on quality.© Copyright 2016 Ebun Oluwole, All rights Reserved.
