Recap: #BeautyAfricaExpo+Haul

The third edition of the annual Beauty Africa Exhibition and Conference has come and gone and I had a great time even though I had to dash in and out.

Let me confess. I attended because of this flyer.

There was no way I was gonna miss those discounts for anything. It was an opportunity to replenish my favorite products and pick one or two things as well.

Speaking of which,

I got to repurchase my staple Cantu Leave-in Conditioning cream for a good deal until I got home discovered that the Argan oil isn’t as moisturizing as the Shea butter. I did not know how to cry. Anyway, I would use it for a while and if I don’t like it, I would give it out and purchase the shea butter version. I also thought to try out the Cantu Deep Treatment Masque. I’m so glad I got sample packs because it turned out to be a waste of money. Of course, a review is coming soon.

About two weeks ago, Dabs of NaijaHairCanGrow launched a four step comb system for a discounted price. I was itching to buy it because of the price but I had to check myself. For someone who hardly uses combs, it would have been a waste of money. When I got to Dabs’ booth, I couldn’t resist buying the scalp massager and edge comb. The edge comb turned out to be the bomb especially for my baby hairs and for sectioning my hair.

Ajali has been around for a while now and for reasons unknown to me, I haven’t tried anything from them. I think it’s because I already make most of what they have so there was no point buying again. I wouldn’t have gotten this if the sales person hadn’t cajoled me.

For those of you that weren’t able to attend, here are some sights and sounds from the event.
