On many occasions I have seen tweets and posts by Nigerian celebrities refuting headlines in several Nigerian magazines. Filmmaker, Kemi Adetiba often laughs off the issue with her Instagram followers, Emma OhmaGod has also posted a screenshot of an interview he apparently never had. I guess the culture of some Nigerian newspapers publishing interviews they have never had is becoming a thing.
I honestly think this is becoming an issue and Ekene of the Kink and I perfectly summarises my reaction to this issue:
Nigerian weekend newspapers and publishing interviews they never had! Tueh!

Recently, Ufuoma McDermott, a Nollywood actress was recently portrayed in bad light by National Mirror newspapers in an interview she never granted. What is really happening to Nigerian media? What could be done to ensure integrity? Should journalists start swearing oaths like doctors do?
Fortunately, her PR consultants have acted swiftly to refute the interview and demand amends by issuing statements on her behalf to address the malicious publication.© Copyright 2016 Sizzelle Online Store, All rights Reserved. Written For: Get your Sizzelle on!
