How To Transition To An All Natural Skincare Regimen

It’s no news that I’m trying to wean myself off commercial products so you’re gonna have to bear with me.

Today, I’m going to be sharing on how to transition to an all natural skin care regimen with you. It’s really simple. Most of the products you need are readily available around you or the nearest department store so don’t fret.

But the first thing you need to do, is to make up your mind. You need to decide what exactly you want and the reasons for doing so. Do you want what’s best for your skin? Have you finally realized that a lot of these products you use aren’t exactly after your well-being as they’re mostly laden with chemicals? Have you decided to go the natural way baring in mind that it’s the best thing since Coca-Cola?

You know, these are the questions you need to ask yourself. If you’re done with that, then you can follow along. If not, there’s really no point.

The next thing you need to do is to pack and toss your current products aside and I mean that literally. After which, you can shop for the products I’m going to be listing subsequently.

1. Cleansing

Any handmade natural soap or body wash will do. I usually just advise you start from Black Soap – Dudu Osun or African Black Soap.

2. Toning

2 parts of Apple Cider Vinegar mixed with 2 parts of water will do just fine. Along the line, you can substitute water for Green Tea. Bear in mind that it should be made in small quantities so it doesn’t lose its potency or go bad. Otherwise, you can use Rosewater and Glycerine.

3. Moisturizing

Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and all other body butters are highly recommended.

4. Exfoliating

You can easily use White/Brown Sugar and Olive/Coconut Oil(s). You can add honey if you like.

5. Makeup Remover

Here, your oil mixture for The Oil Cleansing Method comes in handy. Ditch all those facial wipes except you can make your own.

6. Facial Mask

You have the leverage to concoct as you wish. The commonest ones being Oatmeal and Honey, Lemon juice & Egg White AND Avocado & Coconut Oil mask.

You see what I mean? It’s really easy. Just substitute these products for your previous ones and your skin will thank you.
