Dr Fomsky in the house!

February 18, 2018

Hi, my lovely people! It’s been ages and I have so much to say. Happy 2018! What’s been happening? I started blogging as a hobby after having my first daughter. Before I knew it, it had taken over a large part of my life and filled the void I was experiencing from not practicing my profession. Sizzelle was even born out of this passion for hair care. Although I always…

Wash day and new cornrows

March 5, 2016

I had these cornrows in for 4 weeks and I was following my wig regimen.….although not very strictly.? Wash day started by deep conditioning the cornrows with Pura Body Naturals Chocolate smoothie. I shampooed twice with Kurlee Belle Almond & Shea butter shampoo. After undoing the cornrows, I was left with a braid out. The next day, I detangled my hair and had the cornrows redone. The breakage was a bit more…

Happy wigging 2016

February 6, 2016

Hi!Hi!Hi! Long time no see. 🙂 I have a new regimen plan for 2016: wigging! Confession: I have a terrible hands-in-hair addiction! Plus in the last three years, I have hardly done any protective styles. This year, I have decided to do something completely different with my hair: MANIPULATE IT LESS. Manipulation has a direct relationship with hair breakage. The more you manipulate your hair, the more breakage you experience….

My relaxed hair journey October 2013 to December 2014 {Dr Fomsky}

February 5, 2015

Starting length – Neck length. I cut my hair October 2013 for several reasons: The middle of my hair was now much shorter than the rest of my hair after a bad relaxer experience. I had started texlaxing [intentionally underprocessing] my hair in 2013 and there was now a difference between the old bone straight relaxed hair and the new ‘texlaxed’ hair. I wanted to see less of this relaxed…

2014 hair goals reviewed + LESSONS LEARNED {Dr Fomsky}

January 5, 2015

At the beginning of 2014, I had certain goals which I will review below: Goal 1: If my hair thinning doesn’t show any obvious improvement, I will go see a dermatologist. My hair is no longer thinning and I think that the thinning areas are filling in. I believe this is mainly from my regular use of essential oils. Essential oils and hair loss Goal 2: Do a 6-month stretch between relaxer touch…
