Review: Maybelline products in my stash

image

I’ve decided to do a combined review as they’re all of the same brand.

Maybelline Baby Lips In Peach Kiss.

This is one of those products that you buy unconsciously as result of the hype. I currently have about two chapsticks which were doing just fine until I bought this. Baby lips claims that it would keep the lips moisturized for a long time – about 8 hours or thereabout as well as heal chapped lips. All marketing gimmicks. Can I just say that the only thing baby lips is good for is as a base for my lip stains? Yep! You heard right. It didn’t even last up to an hour before I had to reapply. Also, it looks more of a nude lip gloss than a moisturizing lip balm so no, I’m not repurchasing.

Maybelline Rocket Volum’ Express Mascara

This is easily the best mascara I’ve used in recent times. It’s definitely worth the hype. The best thing is that I can get away with just one coat. It literally gives my lashes volume and makes them pop! The problem is, I need to figure out a way to avoid the clumps. Other than that, it’s fantastic. I particularly love the wand and yes I’ll definitely be repurchasing.

Maybelline The Colossal Mascara

This is my least favorite of the two mascaras. The only reason I bought was because it was a good bargain and I never let that slip by even if it’s not needed at the moment. Anyways, this isn’t as fantastic as the Rocket Volum’ Express but it’s decent nonetheless. I also have the clumping problem. But it’s good to have an alternative to substitute occasionally.
