I’ve used Mayonnaise (the edible one) before and the after effect was SOFT-STRONG HAIR so I decided to try the one made for hair.
I got the 30 oz of the Vitale Olive Oil Hair Mayonnaise for 800 Naira.
Promises: Enriched with natural botanical extracts, oat protein, vitamins, egg proteins and olive oil to intensively condition, moisturize and strengthen damaged and over processed hair. It renews weak fragile hair, leaving it healthy looking with shine, elasticity and moisture.
Directions: After shampooing with Vitale Olive Oil Breeze Shampoo, rub ample amount of Vitale Olive Oil Hair Mayonnaise into palms and spread evenly from root to tip of hair. Massage hair and scalp gently for even distribution. For excellent results, cover hair in a warm towel or a plastic cap for 10 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water and style as desired.

I had to detangle my hair since it was in box braids and this mayonnaise was really great for detangling….it made my strands so soft and easy to finger detangle.
After detangling, I applied it again and allowed it to settle. I wore a plastic cap over my head and went to bed …..
Woke up the next morning and could not get
the conditioner out: it was like glue that would not wash off….
I shampooed twice, with black soap then Natur Vitale shampoo…Nothing happened….
I wore the cap again and ran out to a salon nearby to get my hair thoroughly cleansed….
First Wash…same thing.
The lady asked, “What did you put in your hair?”
Me: I did a protein treatment and carried it over night!
The Lady: Ehen so you want to finish my shampoo and water abi, do you have a salon??
Me: “No I don’t have a salon. Is it not coming out?”, I asked her wondering why she was asking all these questions.
The Lady: If e dey commot I no for ask you all that question na. If I say come make I do your hair for you, you go claim say you fit do everything! (If it were coming out, I wouldn’t have been asking you all these questions. If I told you to let me do your hair, you’ll tell me you can do it yourself).
Second Wash…………it started getting better, but my new growth was now VERY STRONG……
She steamed the hair for 30 minutes but still could not comb through.
I thought to myself, maybe this mayonnaise is not as good as the edible mayonnaise.
I lost a great amount of hair that day and the dream of a soft fluffy hair did not come to pass.
1. Follow the directions on any product especially if you are using it for the first time.
2. Use heavy protein products with wisdom. If your porosity is LOW, you do not need a lot of protein….but MOISTURE.
3. Follow up every protein treatment with a deep moisturizing conditioner……
1. I’ll surely try this product again but with caution.
2. I’ll use it before and after every relaxer touch up.
3. I’ll let it sit on my hair for less than 30 minutes and wash out with warm water, follow up with a long moisturizing deep conditioning treatment.© Copyright 2014 Patience Ugomma Ukam, All rights Reserved. Written For: Get your Sizzelle on!
