Nigerian Beauty Boxes You Should Know

I personally love the idea of beauty boxes! They make the process of choosing beauty staples so much easier and affordable. This is definitely for the ladies who would like to explore more products on a budget. I’m here for it, are you?

For a quick intro, beauty boxes are ideally monthly subscriptions – you could choose to pay for a month, three months or six at a time depending on your budget. Beauty boxes basically help you try out new products without breaking the bank so it is no surprise that they may consist of samples or mini-sized versions of products. Lots of these beauty and hair solutions are popping up in Nigeria and here are some that look legit.

1. BeautyBox

Description: “BeautyBox is an online subscription service that has fast become a favorite of beauty addicts worldwide. Take the hassle out of choosing between brands and new makeup products with BeautyBox. With a BeautyBox subscription you’ll also receive samples of the best hair products and the best skin care products for women. Order your beauty products online and receive five travel size beauty products conveniently delivered to your door. Your BeautyBox will contain only the top beauty products from well-known luxury brands and up-and-coming niche brands… A BeautyBox also makes an easy and luxurious gift for any beauty lover. You can now breathe easy when you buy makeup as beauty samples are carefully selected by our beauty experts to suit you. And you never know, you could discover some new makeup essentials!”

BeautyBox was reviewed by Beauty Geek NG so that should help you out!

2. Boonbox

Description: “Get access to innovative and quality full size, sample and deluxe sample beauty and grooming products.”

This looks like a popular choice as lots of reviews are available. Here’s one from Beauty in Lagos, Jennifer Abah of Nigerian and Natural also reviewed it.

3. LuxeBox

Interestingly, the links to this beauty box were not functional which I found quite strange. Well, they make it on to the list because they were reviewed by She Loves The Finer Things.

4. MayenkaBox

This is the one box I have tried and I can equate it to a Curlbox for those outside of the United States. Go Myleik! MayenkaBox is now in Naija sha! So yay! This box made the legit list ‘cos I have tried it, see my Obia post here.

Description: “MayënkaBOX is the first African all-in-one online subscription beauty service dedicated to Black Women. An affordable, exclusive and effortless way to explore new hair & body products. Discover hand-selected natural hair products, makeUp, skincare delivered to your doorstep every month.
So far, the beauty boxes are winning over the hair care ones as MayenkaBox NG is the only one that includes some hair products! What do you think of a SizzelleBox or a NaturalNigerianBox? I’d really love to see that happen!
