I can’t be the only one that gets bored with natural hair products or am I? No? Yes? Anyways, once in a while I like to add a few things to my regimen to spice things up. This also helps prevent monotony and general boredom. Plus, I’m all for new products as long as it’s pocket friendly. These are the few things I’ve added:
1. Aloe Vera Juice
This has become a staple and I’ve been able to substitute it for water so I have to make a new batch every few weeks.
2. Lavender essential oil
I recently started buying essential oils and this is actually the second one after tea tree oil. I’ve been using it for a while now although not for particular issues. I just add it to my spray bottle, henna treatments and mud washes.
3. Eucalyptus essential oil
I absolutely love eucalyptus oil mostly because of the menthol. It’s a great remedy for itchy scalp and it’s amazing for scalp massages.
4. Aritha, Shikakai & Neem Powders
I’m so excited to have finally laid my hands on these Ayurvedic powders and I can’t wait to start using them.
5. Vo5 Conditioners
I’ve heard so much about VO5 conditioners so I knew I had to try them somehow. I mean, they are everywhere and super affordable too. I got two different blends and I haven’t been able to use my regular conditioner since then. That’s how awesome they are.
8. Sesame Oil
The first time I bought Sesame oil, I actually regretted it and tossed it away. I didn’t know I had bought a blended one for cooking. All I knew was, it had a funny smell. Anyways, about a year later, I finally got hold of the unrefined Sesame oil and I love it already.
