Your hair is? Relaxed? Natural? ‘Texlaxed’? Transitioning?
My hair is natural
I did my first big chop in 2013. I started because I was seeing people on their long, full natural hair and it looked really pretty to me. Plus I assumed natural hair equals long hair haha! I don’t really care about people who doubt me. I do things for myself so those opinions doesn’t really matter lol. And I stay motivated when I see how healthy my hair has been since my big chop. It’s cute really.
My hair is almost always in one protective style or the other. As much as I love my hair, I don’t have the time to baby it if I was leaving it out often. So I mostly wear wigs or two strand twists like I am at the moment.
My current hair goal is to reach bra strap length before my 3rd anniversary. Although I did my first big chop in 2013, I ended up cutting my hair again in September 2015. So I’m hoping to hit bra strap by September of this year. Currently past armpit length so I’m close. Let’s see how that goes. To achieve this, I make sure to keep my hair moisturized as often as I can. I also recently started using protein conditioners every 2 weeks cos I’ve found that it helps my hair break less. Low manipulation is also very key to me.

What personal struggles or challenges have you experienced during your hair journey?
Somehow I’ve never been able to achieve a perfect twist/braid out. I think I have no curl pattern lol. Also my hair sheds a little too much for my comfort and I have to make extra efforts to tackle this shedding.
