The other day I was at a photoshoot, while I was busy lamenting over a new pimple that just revealed itself because I hadn’t washed my makeup brushes in two weeks, the makeup artist went on to compliment my skin. Mind you, this is one of the top MUAs in Nigeria who had obviously gone through a myriad of clients. Of course, I was quite chuffed. Then I realized that I was finally doing something right and I thought I should dish out my sure – fire tips of getting good skin. Did you notice that I didn’t mention ‘flawless’? That’s not why we’re here.
Wash your face twice daily. Use raw honey if possible.
Do a face mask once a week. Twice preferably. They can be alternated with homemade and store-bought products.
Exfoliate twice a week with a mild product. Baking Soda is also fine.
Use a toner after cleansing. An ACV toner will do the trick. This depends on your skin sensitivity.
Moisturize after cleansing. Natural oils work too.
Steam your face biweekly. It helps to unclog your pores.
Have a couple of face towels so you never run out.
Be as minimalist as possible. Avoid using or trying out too many products at the same time.
Wash your makeup brushes bi-weekly
Never sleep with makeup. Remove it completely before going to bed.
With this tips, your before and after pictures wouldn’t scare anyone and your MUA wouldn’t need to over- bake your face.© Copyright 2016 Ebun Oluwole, All rights Reserved. Written For: Get your Sizzelle on!
