It looks like this is a month of experiments, speaking of which, the turmeric face mask is my most daring till date. I’ve been trying to carefully avoid buying turmeric. After my last debacle with sesame oil – which turned out to be mixed – I decided against using spices for experiments. In this case, I couldn’t help it. You know how I feel about homemade masks and having control over ingredients and whatnot right?
What I Used
– 1 tsp of Turmeric powder (which was even too much. I had to dispose the rest)
– 1 tsp of honey
– 1 tsp of lemon juice.
– I mixed all the ingredients together with a brush and applied it on my face.
Warning: It stains like henna hell!
– Left it on my face for about 10-15 minutes. I didn’t particularly enjoy the smell.
– Rinse out afterwards. But because of its stain, I had to wash my face again with black soap.
Phew! So much for experimenting. It wasn’t exactly a bad experience, just more than what I bargained for. I mean I was literally on my toes throughout. Even though, I had previously read about it, I wanted to avoid any adverse effects. Since I have a whole pack of turmeric, I might as well continue using it.
By the way, turmeric is an excellent mask for removing blackheads and acne scars. I think I’m gonna talk extensively on it subsequently.© Copyright 2015 Ebun Oluwole, All rights Reserved. Written For: Get your Sizzelle on!
